Historically known as Type 1 MOT / DOT. It is a quarried stone. Graded 0–32mm.
This is very similar to Type 1, but has reduced fines in the mid-range.
This material is normally 0mm (dust) up to 80mm but can go as high as 125mm.
These materials are either quarried or marine-dredged.

Various sizes, normally 100mm–250mm. Can go up to 500mm.
Can be any material that the quarry or washing plant has produced as a waste from manufacturing other products. Normally 40mm upwards.
SuDS (Sustainable Drainage System) permeable paving allows better drainage into the ground naturally, rather than run-off into man-made structures.

Concrete from demolition sites put through crushing machines and screened to 0mm–40mm. It should have a high concrete content but can also contain brick and has been tested to Clause 803.

Historically referred to as '3-inch Down', or 'Crusher-Run'. Produced on-site. It is a 0mm–75mm crushed concrete (which will include brick) down to dust material. Used for temporary road surfaces, on-site compounds, and piling mats.

This can be a natural, or manufactured topsoil.
Can be either a manufactured or a natural product.
All ready mix concrete products comply with accredited quality assurance schemes and meet the relevant British and/or European standards.
Many different applications and mixes such as ST1 to ST5; C15/20 to C45. Multiple additives to help it perform in different environments, including underwater.
Commonly called Tarmac. Like ready mix concrete, it has many differing applications and mixes. AC10 Open to AC32 Dense.
